A damaged structure left unsecured overnight often suffers more from weather and vandalism than it did from the original fire. Fire Damage Laser Cleaning's Board Up Services crews respond fast specifically to close that window.
Our Board Up Services scope covers plywood board-up, roof tarping, and temporary fencing — whatever it takes to fully close off a Kensington, MD property from further exposure.

Overnight calls get the same live response and urgency as a weekday afternoon call.
We use construction-grade plywood and proper fasteners, not scrap material, so the board-up survives wind and rain.
Board-up materials and crews are staged locally in Kensington rather than dispatched from a distant regional office.
Emergency board-up is priced the same regardless of the hour you call.
A detail Kensington homeowners don't always think about is that a poorly secured board-up can actually violate local code or void certain insurance provisions if it's not installed to a minimum standard — plywood alone, loosely nailed, often doesn't meet that bar.
Several Kensington jurisdictions require board-up work to meet a documented minimum standard, which is part of why we don't treat this as a quick, informal fix.
We've been called out to re-secure properties where a previous board-up attempt, done by a well-meaning family member, didn't hold through the first storm — which is the exact scenario proper materials and fastening are meant to prevent.
Most Kensington board-up jobs are completed start to finish in under two hours, even for a multi-window loss, which is fast enough to beat an incoming storm in most cases.
Every open window and door gets boarded with material sized and secured to actually hold, not just cover the gap.
We tarp exposed roofing immediately to stop water intrusion into the attic and living space below.
Perimeter fencing keeps unauthorized foot traffic off an unstable Kensington property while repairs are pending.
An exposed fire-damaged property is a target; our board-up specifically closes off easy entry points.
Before boarding, our crew checks whether the opening itself indicates a larger structural concern that needs flagging.
Our +1-866-484-1409 line is staffed 24/7 specifically for this kind of time-sensitive call.
Materials come pre-loaded on the response vehicle so there's no delay picking up supplies en route.
The crew lead evaluates every opening and gives you a same-visit price before any boarding begins.
We don't consider the job done until the structure is genuinely weathertight and access-controlled.
